Commission adjustments for canceled services

  • A fixed penalty.
  • The complete commission initially awarded for that customer.

For instance, the penalty formula could be:

  • penalty = (total commission paid to the affiliate) / months threshold) × (remaining months to threshold)

Given a product value of 20 USD with a 4-month subscription that was then cancelled, and a threshold set to 10 months:

  • penalty = 80 / 4 * 6 = 48 USD

So, out of the 80 USD originally awarded to the affiliate, they would be obligated to refund 48 USD. This amount would be deducted from the affiliate’s generated commissions to offset the lost revenue.
