Timeout

The timeout setting defines how long PalDock waits for a response from the external API before aborting the request.

By default, the timeout is 40 seconds. This value is usually fine for integrations, but can cause problems in Structures, where long waits may break or delay form submissions and lead processing.

You can adjust the timeout for each request directly in the Request settings. A timeout of 40s means the system will wait up to 40 seconds, but if the external service replies sooner, the response is processed immediately.

Best practice:

  • For integrations, longer timeouts (e.g. 30–40s) are often acceptable.
  • For Structures (e.g. form submissions), keep the timeout shorter to ensure smooth user experience.
